Since 2011, David has written The Greater Marin, the county's first blog dedicated to its planning, transportation, and urban affairs.

David was born and raised in San Anselmo, California. Along with his sister, he attended Wade Thomas Elementary, White Hill Middle, and Sir Francisco Drake High.

After graduating high school in 2002, David decamped up to Trinity Western University in Langley, BC, where he earned his bachelor's degree in political science. He had the privilege of interning for Dr. Colin Carrie, MP, while a student.

In 2008, David moved again to pursue a career in American politics in Washington, DC. While he attained an internship with then-senator John Kerry, the political world was not for him, and David switched careers to nonprofit database management.

David has always been fascinated by the systems and environments humans create for themselves. He is passionate about ensuring social justice is interwoven into any such system and reflected in the environment.

Inspired by Greater Greater Washington, David started The Greater Marin, applying the best practices of smart growth and market urbanist planning to the very different environment of Marin County.

After four years of writing, David is now pursuing a master's degree in city and regional planning from Cornell University, with a focus on international economic development.

David lives in Ithaca, New York, with his wife Anna Rozzo. His family - mother, father, sister, brother-in-law and nephew - all continue to live in Marin. While he is far from his hometown, he hardly ever stops thinking of it.
